Responsibilities: 
  • Perform duties assigned by the Director of Operations.
  • Supervise and coordinate daily activities of Data Entry/Customer Service Department.
  • Plan and schedule work of Data Entry Technician and Customer Service Pharmacy Technician.
  • Predict, control and implement changes in workload, staffing, procedures or schedules to best fit department needs.
  • Manage departments’ staff’s working knowledge of company policies and procedures.
  • Design, implement and maintain department policies and procedures as needed.
  • Investigate and resolve all problems and issues related to both Data Entry and Customer Service Pharmacy Technicians.
  • Handle in the best interest of both the Pharmacy and client facilities complaints (e.g. packaging, deliveries, etc.)
  • Generate and run various reports to ensure the Pharmacy is in compliance with state and federal laws and regulations.
  • Report occurrences to the QA Manager to be included in the quality assurance program.
  • Maintain facility change request (HOA changes, charting changes, form changes etc.)
  • Holds in-services for the staff about updated policies and procedures
  • In-service staff individually about “Occurrence Report” related to their specific errors
  • Collaborate with other department heads to improve departments’ workflow and to achieve departments and company goals and
    objectives.
  • Conduct interviews and assist in the hiring process.
  • Provide on-job-training for new hires when necessary.
  • Clean and help maintain equipment and work areas according to prescribed methods.
  • Perform other duties as requested.
 

Qualifications: 
  • Licensed Pharmacy Technician in Texas required
  • Four-year degree in related field or equivalent work experience
  • Three to five years’ Long Term Care Pharmacy experience
  • Previous supervisory experience
  • Driven and motivated problem-solver
  • Computer literate
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Must be detailed oriented
  • Able to work overtime with little or no notice
