About the Job
The Floor Manager is responsible for overseeing daily pharmacy floor operations within a long-term care (LTC) pharmacy.
This role ensures efficient workflow, regulatory compliance, medication order processing, packaging, dispensing, and delivery coordination while
maintaining high standards of quality, accuracy, and customer service. The Floor Manager supervises pharmacy technicians and support staff,
coordinates staffing and productivity, and works closely with pharmacists, nursing facilities, and other departments to ensure timely medication
services for residents.

· Supervise and coordinate daily pharmacy floor operations to ensure timely and accurate medication dispensing.
· Monitor workflow across order entry, filling, packaging, verification support, and shipping functions.
· Prioritize workload to meet expectations and medication delivery schedules.
· Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency, productivity, and quality.
· Direct, train, mentor, and support pharmacy technicians and operational staff.
· Monitor employee performance and provide coaching, corrective action, and recognition as appropriate.
· Assist with hiring, onboarding, scheduling, and staff development.
· Promote teamwork, accountability, and a positive work environment.
· Ensure adequate staffing levels to meet operational demands.
· Conduct routine audits of medication processing and dispensing activities.
· Investigate and document medication errors, discrepancies, and operational incidents.
· Ensure proper handling and documentation of controlled substances.
· Support regulatory inspections and accreditation surveys.
· Oversee inventory accuracy, medication storage, and expiration date management.
· Assist with controlled substance inventory counts and documentation.
· Collaborate with internal departments to resolve operational issues.
· Monitor productivity, turnaround times, quality indicators, and operational KPIs.
· Prepare and review operational reports.
· Maintain compliance with all applicable state pharmacy laws, federal regulations, HIPAA requirements, and company policies.
· Ensure prescription orders are processed in accordance with company policies, state and federal regulations, and accreditation
standards.
· Complete any other task assigned by the managers

Education, Knowledge and Skills:
· Licensed Pharmacy Technician in Texas required
· Four-year degree in related field or equivalent work experience
· Three to five years’ Long Term Care Pharmacy experience
· Previous supervisory or leadership experience
· Driven and motivated problem-solver
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office and pharmacy software applications.
· Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
· Ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds.
· Strong written and oral communication skills
· Ability to work independently
· Must be detail oriented
· Able to work overtime with little or no notice
